March of the Dead

I've decided to spend more time and effort on the assembly process of the hobby. I purchased some blue tac, a pin vise, and a couple squeeze clamps so that I could be a little more professional in my assembly. I always remembered having to use gallons upon gallons of glue on large models in order to keep something like a dragon wing from falling off. Well, no more. With my Bone Giant, I decided to "pin" the appendages on in order to keep them where they are supposed to be. Just drilled a little hole, glued a chunk of paper clip in the hole, and attached it to the body. I know this is a pretty basic process, but it was something I had never done before. My hand has some blisters on it from hand-drilling, but hopefully the extra effort will mean my model doesn't fall apart.

Here's a picture of the pin on one of arms.

And here's a picture of the primed, assembled model.

What I hope to do with the weapon in the right hand is to get some chains with skulls on them and hang 'em from the top, thus creating a sort of flail.

Next up, the Ushabti I'm working on.
